The Communication in Anaesthesia SIG plans to develop workshops and resources and provide guidance to help improve anaesthetists skills in all communication related aspects of their work. This includes patient care (for example, needle-phobic patients), working with surgeons and other health professionals, administrators, and the media.
The 2025 Combined SIG meeting will be held at Mantra on Salt Beach Kingscliff, NSW from 5-7 September. Registrations will open by the end of May. Please visit the meeting website to view the program and register.

Membership of the Communication in Anaesthesia SIG is open to fellows and trainees of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, members of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists and the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists. Fellows of other colleges, practitioners and allied health professionals are encouraged to participate as associate members.
