November Audit: fasting and aspiration risk on GLP-1 receptor agonists (online)

25 November, 2026 @ 7:30 pm ( GMT00.00 )

Your usual practice with patients on GLP-1 receptor agonists, audited live against current fasting guidance.

For January 2027 retreat delegates only.

Book your seat via the Register button; this audit is included.

When: Wednesday 25 November 2026, 7:30–9:00 pm AEDT (Melbourne and Sydney time); 9:30–11:00 pm in New Zealand.

How it runs
Before: a short questionnaire on how you usually manage patients on GLP-1 receptor agonists. That is the audit data.
7:30 pm: the standard. What the guidance says, where the evidence is soft, where the faculty disagree with it.
7:55 pm: your practice against the standard and against the group, live.
8:15 pm: three faculty, three departures from the guideline, and the case that changed each of them.
8:45 pm: the four critical-reflection steps, on screen.
9:00 pm: close.

CPD: a clinical audit is one of the four routes to the mandatory practice-evaluation activity in the ANZCA CPD framework, and sits in Category 1, measuring outcomes. Written up, the critical reflection is a second Category 1 activity, reviewing performance. You log both in your own portfolio. You receive an attendance certificate naming the activity, the date and the standard you audited against.

Faculty: Lee Zimmer and Malcolm Albany lead, with Chris Bonney, Pooja Agrawal, Philip Cornish and Chuck Chapman.

Who can attend: only delegates who have booked the CPD Hero retreat at the Regent Phu Quoc, Vietnam, 18–22 January 2027. The November Audit is included with the retreat booking. There is no separate ticket. Book the retreat by 23 November; the invitation and the online link come with your registration email.
