DESCRIPTION:Suitable for: Anaesthesia trainees IT and above\, Anaesthesia consultants\, GP anaesthetists\, GP anaesthesia trainees\, Anaesthesia nurses\, Recovery nurses \nLocation: HNE Simulation Centre\, John Hunter Hospital Campus. \nAim\nTo prepare anaesthesia providers for managing anaphylaxis. \nModules\nUsing a combination of facilitated discussions and simulations\, participants will develop and practise the skills\, knowledge and attitudes required for up-to-date management of anaphylaxis. The course will incorporate the Australian and New Zealand Anaesthetic Allergy Group (ANZAAG) guidelines. This course promotes a team-based approach and anaesthesia assistants are encouraged to attend with their medical colleagues. \nParticipants in the ANZCA CPD Program may claim this ALS course as an emergency response activity in their CPD portfolio. All workshop participants may utilise a post-workshop remote mentoring programme at additional cost.
