DESCRIPTION:Suitable for: Anaesthesia trainees IT and above\, Anaesthesia consultants\, GP anaesthetists\, GP anaesthesia trainees\, Anaesthesia nurses\, Recovery nurses \nLocation: HNE Simulation Centre\, John Hunter Hospital Campus. \nAim\nTo prepare anaesthesia providers for managing a can’t intubate\, can’t oxygenate crisis \nModules\nUsing a combination of skills stations\, facilitated by discussions and scenario-based learning\, participants will develop and practise the skills\, knowledge and attitudes required to recognise and manage the CICO crisis. \nContent\n– Review of available CICO guidelines\n– Decision making and recognition of the CICO crisis\n– Team response to CICO\n– Tips & techniques for performing needle cricothyroidotomy and surgical airway \nParticipants in the ANZCA CPD Program may claim this ALS course as an emergency response activity in their CPD portfolio.
