DESCRIPTION:Suitable for: Anaesthesia trainees & consultants\, Scrub/scout nurses\, Anaesthetic & PARU nurses\, Operations assistants\, Surgical trainees & consultants \nPrerequisites: NIL \nLocation: HNE Simulation Centre\, John Hunter Hospital Campus. \nAim\nTo provide an opportunity for inter-professional teams to focus on their interactions when challenging situations arise in the operating theatre. \nContent\nConducted within the safe simulation environment provides theatre staff with an opportunity to participate in and reflect upon the management of various challenges and crises we encounter in the Operating Suite. It provides an opportunity for teams who work together to train together. Immersive scenarios followed by instructor led debriefings will provide participants with a framework for dealing with challenges in the Operating Suite. Focus on teamwork skills including leadership\, followership\, communication\, etc. \nFor more information\, please contact the HNE Simulation Centre.

DESCRIPTION:Our accredited 2-day focussed cardiac ultrasound workshop is designed specifically for junior doctors through to medical specialists\, including but not limited to emergency physicians\, intensivists\, anaesthetics\, general medicine\, rural GP’s and cardiology trainees who want to perform point of care cardiac ultrasound.\nThe aim of the course is to equip clinicians with all the necessary skills to become proficient in performing a focussed cardiac ultrasound exam\, and aid in accurate diagnosis and subsequent timely patient care. Our experienced echocardiography educators simplify this learning process throughout\, applying our proven step-by-step approach and comprehensive hands-on component to each workshop.
