SUMMARY:Coast to Coast Anaesthesia Conference March 20th-22nd\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:www. coast2coastanaesthesia.com \nThe 2026 Coast to Coast Anaesthesia Conference will be held at Peppers Resort\, Kingscliff NSW from 20th – 22nd March. This stunning beachside location is a 20-minute drive south of the easily accessible Gold Coast Airport. This conference brings together anaesthetists from the southeast Queensland\, Northern NSW region and beyond. The social program begins Friday evening with welcome drinks and canapes overlooking the Peppers lagoon. The conference themes are teamwork\, collaboration/communication\, celebration of local innovation and real-world anaesthesia. \nThe academic program begins on Saturday morning with international keynote speaker\, simulation and high-performance teams expert Professor Victoria Brazil. Our second keynote speaker is medical oncologist\, award winning author and international speaker Dr Ranjana Srivastava (OAM) who will speak about the art of medicine.\nThe academic program continues with talks on local innovation from the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast University Hospitals including Practical Debriefing\, Regional Block Room Initiative\, Use of midodrine for post operative hypotension in NOF patients and Introduction to gastric ultrasound- a skill that will soon be expected of all anaesthetists. \nBe inspired by Dr Brian Spain from Darwin Hospital who will speak on his work in austere environments including AUSMAT missions\, hear other examples of pacific and real-world anaesthesia practice from Dr Jodie McCoy\, anaesthetist and Chief Medical Officer of Norfolk Island. Continuing within the broad theme of teamwork\, the Trauma M&M returns after great feedback from last year’s conference delegates. \nThis year\, the Coast to Coast offers a choice of 3 ANZCA CPD accredited Emergency Response Workshops: Can’t Intubate Can’t Oxygenate (CICO)\, Anaphylaxis and Major Haemorrhage (with an obstetric focus). \nThe social program includes outdoor\, family friendly activity options in the mornings. Food and beverages inclusions are the Conference Dinner\, morning tea and lunch\, and an abundance of quality coffee. Conference packages represent great value. The options include Conference Only and Conference & Accommodation packages.
