DESCRIPTION:3 November 2026 \n8am – 5pm \nhttps://www.sim.scssc.edu.au/ \nThe Safe Procedural Sedation Course incorporates\ne-learning\, interactive workshops and immersive\nsimulation activities for a one day hands-on program\nexploring conscious sedation outside of the operating\ntheatre. \nThe course content reflects the NSW Agency for\nClinical Innovation (ACI) Minimum Standards for Safe\nProcedural Sedation and the Australian and New\nZealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA)\nPS09 Guidelines on Sedation and/or Analgesia for\nDiagnostic and Interventional Medical\, Dental or\nSurgical Procedures. \nIt includes: \n• Pre-procedure patient assessment & risk\nstratification \n• Monitoring and practical airway management \n• Safe use of drugs and assessing levels of sedation \n• Post procedure monitoring and discharge \nCourse Duration \nThis is a one day face to face program with e-learning\nincluded prior to the course
